Tay Hwang

Tay Hwang is originally from Albuquerque, NM, with his family having immigrated from South Korea, Tay grew up becoming proficient in Korean. He is now based in Savannah, GA where he is pursuing his BFA in Acting at SCAD.
Before pursuing acting, Tay was a competitive golfer and swimmer, earning a spot on the golf team at Cal State San Bernardino. Growing up in sports taught him discipline, focus, and the level of preparation it takes to perform at a high level.
One of his favorite quotes from Michael Jordan is, “Practice like you’ve never won. Play like you’ve never lost.” He applies this mindset to acting—put in the work, then allow yourself the freedom to play.
His athletic background continues to shape the way he approaches his craft, and he’s grateful for those experiences, which helped him make his transition into acting.
